Deadly Force Traumatic Injuries
Learning how to treat wounds is every bit as important as learning how to cause them. In this one-day block of instruction, you will learn how to treat a variety of wounds. During deadly force, active shooters, or barricaded suspects, medical personnel are not allowed to treat victims until the scene is secure. People have died because they were not treated in time. You may be the only person present who can help save lives during those moments, especially if one of those people is you or your loved ones. If you carry a firearm, you also need to carry a medical kit. We will teach you how to use that kit.
Topics include: Gunshot wounds, cuts, puncture wounds, blood loss, facial trauma, abdominal trauma, appendage wounds, patient status checks, anatomy, treatment for shock, and a few other surprises.
Our trauma class is taught by instructors with appropriate professional medical certifications, credentials, and medical degrees.
